Advanced Course - Continue your SCUBA training
Underwater Connection teaches Advanced Training at our indoor pool in Colorado Springs. Improve buoyancy, navigation, go deeper, and learn new skills. Certification requires Open Water dives as well.
Advanced training is one of your next steps in continuing your SCUBA education.
You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through 5 different Adventure Dives under the supervision of your Instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.
Which dives will you be doing?
It depends on which open water site you choose! Here's a rundown:
For certification dives done in Aurora Reservoir: Navigation, Buoyancy, Photo, Wreck and Search & Recovery.
For certification dives done in Blue Hole: Navigation, Buoyancy, Photo, Deep and Night.
For certification dives done in Crater: Navigation, Buoyancy, Photo, Deep and Search & Recovery.
The Advanced Course includes all of your class and pool training, 5 Open Water Dives, your digital certification card, and all of the air and weight you need.
It does not include your student materials (which are required), transportation to the open water site, food (except for lunch on Saturdays at Aurora Reservoir), rental equipment, park fees or trip costs.
add the advanced course on to the Open Water course and get a discounted rate of $159 (down from $199) if you do your certification dives at the local reservoir!
Student Materials are required ($54)
The minimum age requirement to become certified is 12 years old, but deep dives require 15 years of age. To Take the Advanced Adventurer Course, as a diver under the age of 15, you will need to do the certification dives either at Aurora Reservoir or on one of our store trips.
