Freediving provides you with the training and knowledge required to safely freedive with a buddy in pool/confined water environments to a depth of 5 meters (~16ft). After successfully going through the class and pool sessions (Pool Freediver), you can earn your SSI Level 1 Freediving Certification by passing the Open Water training portion of this class. The Open Water training dives are done at Blue Hole in Santa Rosa, New Mexico and teaches you to safely freedive with a buddy in open water environments. All required Level 1 Freediving skills will be done at a depth of 10M (33ft).
Prerequisites:
Minimum age: 12 years old
Student must be able to swim
Pricing:
$275 - Pool Freediver (Class & Pools)
$125 - Level 1 Open Water Dives (Blue Hole)
Pool Freediver Course:
April 25th (academic) 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm & April 26th (pool) 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Private Pool Freediver Course is available - please inquire
Freediver Open Water Certification Dives at Blue Hole (if minimum students are reached):
May 25th (late morning - mid afternoon)
Due to the time Freediver’s spend on the surface of the water, the outside temperature in Santa Rosa, NM is factored into when we will travel down there to offer the open water training dives for Freediver. The water temperature stays constant year round (61 F)

Included:
Freediving digital kit ($100 value).
The digital learning materials must be completed prior to your first day of class.
Pool Freediver (class & pool sessions) in our facility in Colorado Springs.
Upon successfully completing the class and pool session you will earn your Pool Freediving Certification.
Open water dives for Level 1 (when you purchase the complete class)
Upon successfully completing Pool Freediver, you will travel to Blue Hole in Santa Rosa, NM, to complete the required skills at depth (10M/33ft) and then you will earn your Level 1 Freediving Certification.
Rental equipment for class & pool sessions only
Student equipment discount: 15% off on mask, snorkel, fins and socks.
Digital certification card upon course completion.
Not included:
Rental equipment for open water dives (up to $80).
$80 would be a complete rental. If you buy your own equipment from UWC, your rentals will be lower. Weights/freediving belts are included in class fees. Students are eligible for 15% off on freediving mask, snorkel, socks, fins.Transportation, meals, and lodging during your Open Water Certification Dives at Blue Hole in Santa Rosa, NM

Important note:
One of the documents required for this course is the Medical Statement. Depending on your answers to the questionnaire a physician’s or other legally certified medical provider’s signature on the Medical Statement might be required prior to you getting in the water. It is important to read the form ahead of time so you have plenty of time to set an appointment if necessary. Click HERE to download the form.

Don’t worry if you still are unsure whether a signature is required on your form or not, once you sign the course’s DocuSign Packet, we will contact you about it, if needed.
